Our Story
Hi! I’m Armi, and I want to share with you the remarkable journey that brought me to where I am today, as the proud co-founder of Redzel's. In 2001, after leaving another life behind, it was just me and my two young children. My daughter, Renzel, who was just 5 years old, and my son, Red, then 8. We were starting over from scratch, and I knew I had to dig deep to build a better life for them.
That’s when I turned to something close to my heart: our family’s cherished Ube Halaya recipe. I began perfecting it during those early years, not for a business, but as a labor of love.
I poured my heart into every batch, adjusting, refining, and holding onto the dream that someday, I’d be able to share it with others.
As time passed, I took occasional custom orders and quietly nurtured the idea, staying true to the quality and warmth that defined Redzel’s long before it became a name on a jar.
I continued making small batches from home, sharing them mostly with family and friends.
In 2018, my son and I started a small shop to expand our reach and production.
We also went on to develop a one-of-a-kind honey-strawberry preserve that travelers and locals fell in love with.
We soon found ourselves relocating to a bustling business location at 39 Legarda Road, Baguio City.
Today, I am overjoyed and proud to see Redzel's thrive, as a testament to the passion that we have poured into our small family business over the years.
